Luvleen Hunjan
Born in India in 2000, Luvleen Hunjan is a director, writer, and producer working between Toronto and Delhi. Her recent shorts, including The Trial (2025), Whispering in the Leaves (2024), and On the Cosmic Shore (2023), have screened at festivals such as Festival du Nouveau Cinéma Montréal, Nara International Film Festival, and TIFF. She was one of five selected participants in the Canadian Film Centre’s 2024 Directors’ Lab, where she began developing her debut feature, and previously took part in the Canadian Academy’s 2023 Women in Post Talent lab. Within her films, Luvleen continues to explore the quiet threads that connect people. Much of her work explores the pull of intuition, the natural world and its connection with femininity, as well as the liminal experiences of diaspora and migration.
