Author | Award Winning Stunt Professional | Entertainment Executive | Outlaw Country Artist Charlie Estepp is an award-winning author, stunt professional, entertainment executive, and Outlaw Country singer and songwriter known professionally in music as Charlie Bowdre. His career has been shaped by a lifelong passion for automobiles, film, adventure, storytelling, and the independent spirit of the American outlaw. Born April 27, 1973, in Tampa, Florida, Charlie developed a fascination with action and adventure at an early age. His childhood idol was legendary daredevil Evel Knievel, whose fearless performances inspired Charlie’s own passion for motorcycles, automobiles, stunts, and the world of action. Charlie’s own life would eventually become a story worthy of the movies. His experiences included automobile crashes, police pursuits, dangerous situations, and extraordinary adventures that helped shape his career. His natural abilities and fearless approach eventually attracted the attention of renowned stuntman Tim Chitwood, who helped connect Charlie with legendary stuntman and filmmaker Hal Needham, one of the most influential figures in Hollywood stunt history. Under Needham’s guidance, Charlie refined his craft and gained valuable experience in the demanding world of professional stunt work. Rather than pursue Hollywood fame, he chose to remain largely behind the scenes and concentrate on the work itself. Throughout his career, Charlie contributed to numerous television productions and films while establishing a reputation for determination, versatility, and a willingness to take on challenging work. Charlie’s passion for history, automobiles, and extraordinary true stories eventually led him into authorship. As an award-winning author, he has dedicated himself to researching and preserving remarkable stories surrounding automobiles, motorsports, entertainment, and legendary figures. His writing reflects the same passion for history and authenticity that has defined his career. Today, Charlie has added another chapter to his creative career as Charlie Bowdre, his Outlaw Country music identity. As a singer and songwriter, Charlie Bowdre brings the grit, independence, and storytelling tradition of classic outlaw country into a modern sound. His music is influenced by a lifetime of real experiences, giving his songs an authenticity that comes from living the stories he sings. Charlie is also the founder of Charlie Estepp Entertainment, where he manages and oversees a variety of entertainment talent, including stunt performers, while developing projects involving film, automobiles, music, and entertainment. Now residing in Ocala, Florida, Charlie enjoys life with his wife, children, and grandchildren while remaining active in the industries and passions that have defined his journey. He continues to participate in automotive and film events, write, create new music as Charlie Bowdre, and pursue new entertainment projects. From a Tampa kid inspired by Evel Knievel to a professional stuntman, award-winning author, entertainment executive, and Outlaw Country artist, Charlie Estepp has built a life and career on his own terms. He didn’t just write the stories. He lived them.
