Brian L. McCarty worked as a boom operator on Steven Spielberg's 1941, Brian De Palma's Blow Out and Pandemonium, and as sound recordist on The Postman Always Rings Twice. He later moved into music, serving as music supervisor on Robin Hood: Men in Tights and music coordinator on Showgirls.
