Rika Takasugi

Rika Takasugi (たかすぎ 梨香, Takasugi Rika) is a Japanese screenwriter working primarily in television animation. Her career spans multiple genres, and she is frequently involved in projects featuring young female protagonists. She has used different professional names over time: although she previously wrote under the name Rika Nakase (中瀬 理香, Nakase Rika), she switched to the name Takasugi Rika from 2023 onward . She uses the alias Rika Sogo (十川 梨香, Sogō Rika) when she writes with her husband, the also screenwriter Masashi Sogo (十川 誠志). Her work includes television series, OVAs, novels tied to animated franchises, and contributions to live‑action film, reflecting a long and versatile career in the Japanese animation industry.
