Nicola Sersale
Nicola “Nico” Sersale is an Italian filmmaker based in London. His comedies and documentaries explore lost love and the search for connection across distances and borders. His short “David’s Tour” follows a heartbroken city guide whose tours become journeys through his own romantic past. It screened at more than 20 international festivals. “Ideal Husband” follows a casting director searching for a leading man onstage and in life, and won awards at WorldFest Houston and the Ferrara Film Festival. His feature documentary “Letters from the Blue” explores the unlikely bonds between U.S. death row inmates and their UK pen pals. It premiered at Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival. His latest feature, “Vicini Vicini, Stretti Stretti”, returns to comedy with a romantic getaway upended by the arrival of an outspoken, larger-than-life mother.
