The Elephant’s Dance

This film sheds light on a traditional dance from the Gayo highlands—one that holds a memory of the once harmonious relationship between elephants and the Gayo people in ancient times. It all begins with a simple question: How did the Gayo community manage to coexist peacefully with elephants, leaving behind such a remarkable history? And how can this perspective on human-elephant conflict offer solutions for those affected today?
