Jusqu'Ici...Tout Va Bien, La Banlieue Au Cinéma

In 1995, Mathieu Kassovitz's "La Haine" defined the "banlieue film" genre, with its aesthetic rooted in housing projects and its portrayal of life in marginalized suburbs. This documentary explores the evolution of this cinematic genre, reflecting the visual and social atmosphere of these neighborhoods while examining how films have both documented and warned about their gradual isolation from the rest of the nation.
